E-DELIVERY - new obligation imposed on Companies.

E-Delivery is the electronic equivalent of a registered letter with notice of receipt. With this service, public authorities, citizens, and companies can correspond in convenient and secure form of electronic deliveries. E-Delivery is intended to exchange correspondence with public authorities. It will also enable the exchange of correspondence between private entities.

Who is obliged to use e-Delivery?

Ultimately, all public authorities, entrepreneurs, companies, and professions of public trust will be obliged to have an address for electronic delivery and to conduct correspondence via e-Delivery services.

When is the deadline regarding this obligation?

For non-public entities registered in the National Court Register before January 1, 2025 - e.g., commercial law companies - the obligation to have an e-Delivery address will start from 01.04.2025.

How to prepare for the e-Delivery?

First step is to create an individual address for e-Delivery. It should be emphasised that e-Delivery address is not the ordinary e-mail address of the company, but it is a special individual address assigned to a given user, enabling the sender and addressee to be uniquely identified. Also, this address needs to  registered in a public register (Database of Electronic Addresses - BAE).

How can we help?

  • On behalf of the Company we can submit an application for creation of the e-Delivery mailbox address and assist the company in the process of activation of the mailbox
  • We will provide a detailed explanation regarding creation and operation of the e-Delivery mailbox, and outline the responsibilities of the mailbox administrator
