The grand opening of the KIND office in Warsaw took place on 15 September. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the Korean Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Poland, representatives of Hyundai Engineering, Dohwa Engineering and the President of the Management Board of the Polish Investment and Development Agency (PAIH), as well as representatives of JP Weber.
KIND (Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation) is a fund established by the government of the Republic of Korea in 2018 to support overseas contracts of Korean companies. In Poland, KIND has so far invested in Grupa Azoty's polymer plant project and is considering further investments, including the Central Transport Port project and its accompanying rail component, the High-Speed Railway.
As JP Weber, we are supporting KIND in the process of opening its first office in Poland by providing comprehensive legal advice, as well as preparing potential infrastructure projects for approval at the organisation's headquarters in Seoul.
The opening of KIND's office in Warsaw will help the KIND organisation to increase the operability of the fund and thus facilitate the management of projects in the Polish market. Infrastructure projects, including cooperation with KIND, are led by the JP Weber team managed by Marcin Dudarski, PhD.
